The OIKOS SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA is a mission community of the EASTERN ORDER OF SAINT BASIL (EOSB) which is a community of Missionary Priests of the HOLY APOSTOLIC CATHOLIC ASSYRIAN CHURCH OF THE EAST located at the Our Lady of Fatima Missions, Pinagkaloob, Toclong, Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. These missionaries have committed themselves in the service of the needy and the less fortunate under the inspiration of our Blessed Mother and Saint Basil the Great- Bishop and Doctor of the Church of the East (Eastern Catholic Church) and of the West (Roman Catholic Church). EOSB community is under the protectorship of its very humble and compassionate bishop, His Excellency Bp. Ericson I. Santos, D.D. Presently it is now under the care of its first-ever, charming and equally compassionate Superior General, the Right Rev. Edwin Escleto, EOSB... Assisting the Superior General in its endeavors are: Rev. Fr. Jaime Divina, EOSB, Rev. Fr. Ronnie De Paz, EOSB, Rev. Fr. Joy Portillo, EOSB, Rev. Fr. Chris Nombres, EOSB, and Rev. Fr. Ferdinand S. Mendez, EOSB. To date, however, the order is under the care of its Metropolitan, Archbishop LEOCITO S. GABO, DD and with the abled assistance of Right Reverend FERDINAND S. MENDEZ, EOSB.

As a Religious Community, EOSB brother priests and Brothers who commit themselves into living together and helping each other live out the vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother- OUR LADY OF FATIMA. It envisions a community of believers, journeying together to the Father, always invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with Jesus as the center of living, through the intercessions of our Blessed Mother.

Founded by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand S. Mendez, EOSB, the Oikos of Our Lady of Fatima in Pinagkaloob Kawit Cavite, is one of its main apostolates which centers on evangelization and education. Giving the community a sense of belongingness and uplifting their morale even in their difficult situations, assure them of a family atmosphere that truly cares, a family in diversity, a community in the service of God, always yearning to be with Him through our devotion to Our Lady of Fatima and Saint Basil.

Council of Elders

The Council of Elders of the Our Lady of Fatima Missions in Pinagkaloob, Toclong, Kawit, Cavite, are the servant -leaders who act as advisers to the Missionary Director and its brother priests, help enact/promulgate / execute laws or rules and regulations and programs set by and for the community. They are the vital contributors to the success of any activity and therefore the unsung heroes of our missions.

The Apostles Youth Organization

Recognizing the role of the youth as a vital partner in establishing God’s kingdom on earth, the Apostles Youth Organization ( TAYO Inc. )was founded by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand S. Mendez and Co-founded by Bro. Armando G Cruz Jr. The Apostles Youth Organization (TAYO Inc.), as a duly registered youth organization by the Securities and Exchange Commission, must see to it that it complies with the government regulation specially on its annual reportorial. The youth members and officers shall and must help the council and or the church in realizing the church’s mission and vision. The organization, ( TAYO Inc.) ,though working independently from the Council of Elders, help and collaborate with them in fostering camaraderie among the youth thru their programs and projects beneficial to the organization. They, however, are duty bound to inform, seek advices, asks permission from their founding priest ( Rev. Fr. Ferdinand S. Mendez, EOSB )or his representative when necessary. The youth must outline or create programs, projects or activities that help each members develop their Personal, Emotional, Physical, Mental, Relational, Communal, Financial and Spiritual needs and growth. It is highly encouraged to have its members undergo recollections and or Retreats at least twice a year. Youth members must be committed to attend Sunday mass regularly and do other tasks assigned to them by the organization or by the church.
